ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Mama in Motion—a working mom navigating a beautifully loud, blended, and insanely fast-paced life.

If you looked at my calendar, you'd actually see absolutely nothing because I don't keep one. Yes, I am that unhinged. I operate entirely on a terrifying system of mental sticky notes to manage a logistical circus: a full-time job, three kids plus one step child heavily involved in youth sports, a toddler, and a new baby on the way.

Somehow, my brain holds the exact drop-off times, uniform requirements, and field locations for an entire sports team. My weekends are spent on a field, my SUV is a rolling locker room littered with crumbs, and my kitchen operates like a high-volume cafeteria. I live my life at 100 miles per hour, fueled by caffeine, Diet Coke, and prayers that I didn't leave anyone at a soccer field.

Why I’m Writing in Secret

But if you only look at the schedule, you miss the actual reality of the woman running it.

I started this blog under a pen name because motherhood isn't just about carpool schedules, meal prep hacks, and sideline cheers. It's also about the invisible battles. In my parenting journey, I have experienced the profound depths of postpartum depression, anxiety, and the terrifying waves of postpartum rage-topics that are too often whispered about or hidden entirely.

By writing anonymously, I can drop the mask. I can tell the absolute, raw truth about:

  • The heavy mental shifts of starting over with a newborn when you already have independent big kids.

  • The raw, unfiltered realities of maternal mental health and postpartum recovery.

  • The emotional boundaries and steep learning curves of building a blended family.

  • The actual systems, food prep, and routines that keep a massive household from collapsing while on the go.

This is a Space for the Real Stuff

Whether you are here to grab a nourishing dinner recipe you can prep in 20 minutes, or you are sitting in your car crying during your kid's soccer practice because postpartum mental health is hitting you hard - you are not alone.

Welcome to the sidelines of my life. Let's keep it real, together.
